Network Environments for Aboriginal Health Research - Writing Winning Proposals: Strategies for Success
What do Aboriginal Health Researchers and Aboriginal Health Community Programming staff have in common? The answer: A deep comittment to improving the health and well-being of aboriginal people. And in this two part workshop on proposal writing, these groups came together to explore how to access funding and write winning proposals to enable them to go after their goal. We explored various potential sources of funding, used a dating analogy to discuss how to capture funders’ interests, discovered what three key things every funder is looking for, reviewed samples to see the impact of writing with the funder in mind and played with a rubber chicken to learn more about active and passive voice. All in all, an interesting, captivating, informative and inspiring look at writing winning proposals. |
